Science versus the Critics

Apparently, neuroscientists have shown that (of all the directors they have so far investigated) Alfred Hitchcock is the director most able to manipulate the emotions of audiences watching his films.

Interesting thought, isn't it?

  1. Interesting. Though my initial thought would be Lars Von Trier. Not the modern day Hitchcock of course (far from it) but he's a real manipulative bastard that's for sure!

  2. I'm not surprised. Hitchcock is unbeatable. His movies are so 're-watchable' - I've seen most of his movies many times and there's always something satisfying about the experience.
